  • Does not work: Stories of private accounts and “Close friends” Stories
  • Sometimes restricted: Instagram occasionally asks for a login even for public Stories – you will then see an error message

Save a Story soon after you copy its link: after 24 hours it is gone and the link stops working.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download Instagram Stories anonymously?

BestDownloader does not use your Instagram account. We cannot, however, promise that Instagram never counts a view – use common sense with sensitive content.

Why does my Story link not work?

The Story may have expired (24 hours), belong to a private account, or Instagram may require a login for it.

Can I download Story Highlights?

Highlights are stored posts and not always accessible by link. If a Highlight link fails, try the regular post or Reel link instead.
